PA Mufti: Israel is carrying out “ethnic cleansing” and is planning to destroy Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque is in danger

"[PA] Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Muhammad Hussein said that the occupation authorities’ actions – the demolition of homes, expropriation of homes and lands, and the uprooting of trees – constitute despicable ethnic and racial cleansing…

The mufti demanded that the entire world… intervene… in order to prevent the occupation authorities from destroying the holy city [of Jerusalem] as they are planning to do, and in order to stop the dangers surrounding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian cause."

Muhammad Hussein also holds the positions of Palestinian Supreme Fatwa Council Chairman, and Deputy Secretary-General and acting Secretary-General of the PLO Popular National Conference of Jerusalem.
