Preacher and Islam Researcher Muhammad Rab’i: “He [King Hordus] had no [recourse] other than to send his soldiers to murder Prophet Yahya. He murdered him unjustly. He presented his head as a sacrifice to that lawless heretic (i.e., the daughter of his brother, who he wanted to marry). Afterwards he had a problem. How would he satisfy his people and how would he calm every rebellion against him, particularly when he had killed a religious man and one of the prophets of mighty and sublime Allah. He immediately sent to murder Zakariya, peace be upon him, and sent soldiers to murder him. Afterwards they went to him… and killed Zakariya, peace be upon him. King Hordus, the dictatorial ruler of Palestine from among the children of Israel, murdered Allah’s Prophet Zakariya and Allah’s Prophet Yahya.
