PA announces cancellation of all agreements with Israel; Abbas: “The despicable occupation will be defeated”

“[PA] President Mahmoud Abbas said that the leadership has decided to stop working according to the agreements that were signed with the Israeli side, and to put together a committee to carry this out as implementation of the [PLO] Central Council’s decision.

After a meeting of the leadership that was held yesterday evening, Thursday [July 25, 2019], at the [PA] presidential headquarters in Ramallah, the president added: ‘We will not submit to dictates and the imposition of facts on the ground by force of tyranny, and particularly in Jerusalem, and everything that the occupation state is carrying out is illegal and void.’ [...]

The president emphasized that ‘There will be no peace, security, and stability in our region and in the world without our people enjoying its full rights, and regardless of how long it will take, the despicable occupation will be defeated and our future state will gain independence.’”
