PA district governor and PLO official participate in event honoring prisoners' children; plaques with maps of "Palestine" distributed at event

Posted text: “[District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh] Laila Ghannam, Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Qadri Abu Bakr, and Chairman of the [PA-funded] Prisoners’ Club Qadura Fares are participating in a tribute ceremony for the children of prisoners sitting in the occupation’s detention camps, who succeeded in the 2019 matriculation exams.

The ceremony was held by the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and during it Governor Ghannam congratulated our prisoners, their children, and their families on this success.

She emphasized that according to His Honor [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas’ orders, we will continue to support the prisoners and the Martyrs’ families at all levels…

It should be noted that the tribute ceremony was held during the filming of an episode of the program Giants of Endurance, which is broadcast on [official] PA TV.”

The pictures show various students displaying plaques they received; on the plaques is the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas.

The picture shows District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam and Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Qadri Abu Bakr honoring a student named Ala’ – the daughter of Palestinian terrorist Wael Qassem who led a terror cell responsible for several terror attacks, in which 35 were murdered.

Wael Qassem – Palestinian terrorist who led a terror cell responsible for three terror attacks: The Café Moment suicide bombing in Jerusalem on March 9, 2002, in which 11 were murdered; a bombing at the Hebrew University cafeteria in Jerusalem, in which 9 were murdered; and a suicide bombing at the Sheffield Club in Rishon LeZion on May 7, 2002, in which 15 were murdered. Qassem is serving 35 life sentences and an additional 50 years.
