Fatah warns against conspiracy to weaken the Arab states through wars “according to the occupation’s interests and priorities”

Headline: "Fatah's Advisory [Council] warns against a conspiracy to destroy the Arab regional order in order to isolate the Palestinian cause"

"The Fatah Advisory Council concluded its second regular session – the Martyrs Al-Haj Mutlaq–Kamel Al-Sheikh–Mustafa Issa–Adnan Abu Ayyash Session (i.e., named after Fatah leaders who all died a natural death) – at the [PA] presidential headquarters in Ramallah…
[PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas] emphasized the success that was realized with the thwarting of the Manama economic workshop (i.e., refers to US-led conference in Bahrain in June 2019 focusing on economic aspects of US President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan), as the cause is a political cause and not economic.
The president spoke about the cut ties with the current American administration, and emphasized that the ties with it will not be renewed until this administration recognizes the peace institutions and the UN resolutions, backs down from annexing Jerusalem to Israel, and commits to the two-state solution…
The Advisory Council discussed the Palestinian, regional, and international political situation in depth, and discussed the changes taking place in the regional and international arenas, with full awareness of the international attempts to strike a blow against the international system and the attempt to assemble a new international system, which has created a situation of ongoing chaos for a number of years already. They said that the attempt of one of the sides to take for itself a single-headed international system is unacceptable to the Fatah Movement and to the entire Palestinian people…
[The Council] said: 'The wars and the riots being carried out are aimed at destroying the states of the Arab regional order, and they have a central goal that is not connected to the Palestinian cause and turning it into a solely humanitarian cause – but rather exceeds erasing the Arab role and its influences by draining its resources and weakening it, according to the occupation’s interests and priorities, and [exceeds] the Sykes-Picot Agreement (see note below –Ed.) that has continued for 100 years. This means that the isolation of the Palestinian cause and its political leadership cannot be done other than by the destruction of the Arab regional order, and that is what is being done. The first sign of this is the Manama workshop, which executed the second part of the destruction of the Arab will and normalization with Israel, which requires all Arabs to wake up – as the region is being subjected to a change of order whose effects we will not be able to correct for the next 100 years.'"
