Haven praised the ongoing cooperation between Belgium and Birzeit University, as Belgium has aided the Al-Muqtafi organization for law and legislation in Palestine, which is the first legal database of its kind in Palestine, and dozens of legal researchers and programmers at Birzeit University’s legal institute have aided in designing, developing, and updating it for more than 10 years.

Haven also emphasized that the Belgian consulate has provided material aid to a number of the university’s students who are suffering from difficult financial conditions so that they will complete their university studies. In addition, it has aided the Palestinian students in participating in a summer school in the Wallonia region of Belgium, and provided scholarships to students in order to complete their higher education in Belgium.”
