Hamas welcomes “blessed operation,” i.e. terror attack in which Israeli teenage girl was murdered, as response to "Al-Aqsa's call": “Resistance will continue”
Headline: "Hamas: The 'Dolev operation' is welcome and it is a response to Al-Aqsa's call"
"The Islamic resistance movement Hamas welcomed the operation of the detonation of a bomb west of Ramallah, within the occupied West Bank, on Friday morning [Aug. 23, 2019], which led to 3 settlers being seriously wounded (sic., refers to attack against 3 family members from the Israeli city of Lod, in which 1 was murdered and 2 wounded; see note below).
The movement said in a statement – a copy of which reached the [Hamas-affiliated website] Al-Resalah Net – that the operation came to emphasize that the West Bank of the people of freedom will not be silent and its resistance will continue despite the killing, arrests, and blows.
It added: 'Today's operation proves that our people does not lack the tools of resistance, and indeed the young people of the West Bank and the free people in it are diversifying the tools for struggle and resistance with arms, knives, car rammings, and explosions, until we take our full right to the land and its holy sites, despite the occupier.'
Hamas emphasized in its statement that the resistance in the West Bank today responds to the Al-Aqsa Mosque's calls, 'and waves the slogan of its victory and the defense of its area in the shadow of the organized aggression from which it is suffering.'
It emphasized that the blessed operation today, which is the 50th anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson (see note below –Ed.) – came to emphasize that our people has not forgotten and will never forget its Al-Aqsa Mosque, regardless of how many sacrifices there will be…
Israeli media outlets said that the female settler was killed and two others were seriously wounded due to the detonation of a bomb near the settlement of Dolev, west of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank."
