"[US Representative] Rashida Tlaib did not concede to the Israeli 'colonialist’ conditions for visiting her grandmother in Beit Ur Al-Fauqa . The goal of these conditions – as [Haaretz Editor] Gideon Levy wrote – is to not make the Palestinian matter political, 'and to turn the Palestinian cause from a national matter into a humanitarian one, and afterwards to present the occupier as merciful and compassionate!'
Tlaib did not let the occupier have this description, and exposed its colonialist goals in a tweet [on Aug. 18, 2019], in which she emphasized: 'Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what my grandmother wants for me. It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in--fighting against racism, oppression & injustice.'

At this opportunity we remember that after her victory in the elections for Congress, Rashida Tlaib, with her Palestinian American identity, entered the hall of the American House of Representatives for the first time in Palestinian garb, her grandmother's garb. The grandmother appeared in this garb in Beit Ur Al-Fauqa a number of days ago, while she condemned the Israeli decision to prohibit her granddaughter, the lauded Rashida, [from entering] and prayed to Allah that 'he destroy [US President Donald] Trump.' This is how the prayers of our wise grandmothers – who believe that Almighty Allah… will certainly destroy the seat of power of the oppressors, even if they have a nuclear arsenal – have always been.
At this opportunity, we will also not forget [US Representative] Ilhan Omar, who in her tweets about the goal of her visit to Palestine accused [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu of lying…
Omar emphasized that her visit was in order to personally learn about what is taking place in the Palestinian territories and to listen to the positions of all relevant sides, which is 'her obligation as a member of the House of Representatives.' In this way, the position of Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar constituted a scandal for Israel, after it was revealed as a more racist and idiotic state than the racist regime in South Africa, which has passed from the world!"
