Modern history lecturer at Ain Shams University in Cairo Dr. Jamal Shaqra: “When we say that at the regional level the Palestinian cause was always the central cause of the Arabs – these are true and important words.”

Official PA TV host: “But that’s rhetoric. Let us agree that that’s rhetoric. Is it actually the central cause of the Arabs?”

Jamal Shaqra: “Even if it was rhetorical, I am talking about before the Arab Spring.”

Host: “The Hebrew [Spring]. In other words, there are those who call it the Hebrew [Spring] due to the plots that occurred.”

Jamal Shaqra: “In other words, before those plots there was at the very least a political movement, and the cause was presented as a central cause in the Arab world.”
