Fatah official: Unpublished US peace plan is “unacceptable” to the Palestinians, and they will “shatter” it

Official PA TV, special broadcast on the Muslim riots to block Jews from entering the Temple Mount on Aug. 11, 2019 – Tisha B'Av and the first day of Eid Al-Adha (the Sacrifice Feast), phone interview with Fatah Revolutionary Council member Abd Al-Ilah Atteereh

Official PA TV newsreader: "How do you… respond to this support, this great and biased support of the US [for Israel]?”

Fatah Revolutionary Council member Abd Al-Ilah Atteereh: "Their plan (apparently referring to US President Donald Trump's as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan –Ed.) is unacceptable, on the global level and among the peoples, and it is certainly and fundamentally unacceptable to the Palestinian people – and it is the one that will shatter it. History will record that we shattered Trump's plan, as we thwarted the Manama [workshop] (i.e., refers to US-led conference in Bahrain in June 2019 focusing on economic aspects of Trump's Middle East peace plan) and have thwarted many [other plans]."

Tisha B'Av - Jewish day of mourning commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem (586 BCE and 70 CE) and the forced exile of most of the Jewish people from the land of Israel.
