“Hamas Movement Political Bureau Head Ismail Haniyeh welcomed the Dolev operation (i.e., terror attack, 1 murdered) today (Friday) [Aug. 23, 2019], which took place in the western Ramallah district and led to the death of a female settler (sic., Rina Shnerb, who was murdered in the attack, was from the Israeli coastal city of Lod) and the serious wounding of others.

During a Friday sermon at the Al-Omari Mosque in Gaza, Haniyeh said that ‘The operation of Ramallah today is heroic, even though I am unfamiliar with the person who carried it out, and it tells the Israeli occupation: Stay away from the exploding powder keg – that is, Jerusalem – which burns those who attack it.’

He added: ‘I welcome the operation today and support those who carried it out, and I pray to God that He protect them.’ He continued: ‘For a long time we have warned the occupation to stay away from Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.’”

Dolev attack – 17-year-old Rina Shnerb was murdered, and her father and brother wounded, when when Palestinian terrorists used a remote detonator to activate a bomb next to them as they visited the Danny Spring near the town of Dolev north of Ramallah on Aug. 23, 2019. Three terrorists who committed the attack were caught on Aug. 26, 2019.
