PA preachers call for all Muslims to carry out Ribat until “the liberation of all our holy sites,” Jews have “no connection” in “any way” to Temple Mount, Cave of the Patriarchs
Headline: “Marking the Islamic New Year at the Ibrahimi Mosque”
“Hebron Mufti Sheikh Maher Maswadeh emphasized the importance of our people’s adherence to its holy sites and legitimate rights despite the occupation’s ongoing attacks against the residents and holy sites, and said: ‘The Al-Aqsa Mosque and Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) are ours, and the occupation has no right to ban us from entering them. All of the Muslims in the world must carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict over land claimed to be Islamic) in their plazas, alleys, and halls until their liberation and the liberation of all our holy sites from the occupation and its settlers.’ …
Ibrahimi Mosque Director and guardian Hafzi Abu Sneineh encouraged all those who love this homeland to fill the noble Ibrahimi Mosque and blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque with people, saying: ‘The Al-Aqsa Mosque and Ibrahimi Mosque will remain Islamic mosques with all of their territory and all of their parts, and the Jews have no connection to them in any way (sic., the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and Cave of the Patriarchs is well-documented –Ed.). All of the occupation’s steps that are being imposed on them by force are invalid and illegal, and they [the steps] and the occupation will pass from the world.’”
