PA Foreign Minister visits Venezuela: “The friendly relations between the two states are historical”

"[PA] Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Rafat Badran participated in the activities of the 25th São Paulo conference in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas.

On the sidelines of the conference, Badran met with a number of the most senior officials of [political] parties in Venezuela and the world, including Venezuelan United Socialist Party member Freddy Bernal, who emphasized his state’s constant and eternal position regarding the Palestinian cause and that the friendly relations between the two states are historical.

Envoy Badran participated in a special session of the Venezuelan legislature that was held on the sidelines of the conference, and during it emphasized the Palestinian position regarding the revolutions struggling to protect their states' independence. He pointed out that the one who is attempting to impose his imperialist efforts on the [American] continent is himself the one denying the Palestinians their right to self-determination, and even encouraging Israel's colonialist ambitions in Palestine."
