PLO and PA accuse Israel of “medical murder” of sick terrorist prisoner

Headline: “Sick prisoner Bassam Al-Sayeh died as a Martyr – rage in all the prisons; the prisoners banged on the doors of the detention camps and made calls of ‘Allahu Akbar’”

“The [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs announced yesterday evening [Sept. 8, 2019] that sick prisoner Bassam Amin Muhammad Al-Sayeh (i.e., terrorist, involved in murder of 2), 47, from the Nablus district died as a Martyr in the Israeli hospital ‘Assaf Harofeh.'

The commission explained that the Israeli occupation forces arrested Al-Sayeh on Oct. 8, 2015, and that he had been sick with bone cancer since 2011 and Leukemia since 2014. It added that since then a policy of deliberate and systematic medical murder by the Israeli Prison Service had been implemented against him…

With the death of prisoner Al-Sayeh as a Martyr, the number of Martyrs of the national prisoners’ movement rises to 221 since 1967. (i.e., prisoners who died while imprisoned.)

The Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs held the occupation authorities fully responsible for these racist crimes against our people, such as physical and psychological torture, medical negligence of prisoners, and additional violations…

[PA] Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila condemned the crime of the Israeli occupation, which procrastinated and neglected the treatment of prisoner Martyr Bassam Al-Sayeh. She said that in this crime, prisoner Al-Sayeh was slowly executed.
