“[PA] Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh received a delegation from the international Asia Society in his office in Ramallah yesterday [June 20, 2019], and briefed them on the political and economic developments and the occupation’s violations against our people.

Shtayyeh emphasized that [US President Donald] Trump’s administration is imposing a political and economic siege on the Palestinians in an attempt to weaken them and defeat them so they will accept the deal of the century (i.e., Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan).

The prime minister explained that the Palestinian demands include self-determination, the end of the occupation, the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders whose capital is Jerusalem, and the guarantee of the refugees’ right [to return].”
