PLO official condemns “policy of kangaroo court executions” after attempted stabbing at checkpoint

Headline: “Ashrawi: The escalating series of kangaroo court executions demands that the occupation’s crimes be ended”

“PLO Executive Committee member [and head of the PLO Department of Diplomacy and Public Policy] Dr. Hanan Ashrawi condemned the policy of kangaroo court executions at the death checkpoints that the occupation state is implementing against our defenseless people, the latest of which was the execution yesterday morning [Sept. 18, 2019] of female resident Ala’ Wahdan (i.e., terrorist, attempted to stab Israeli soldiers), 28, by direct gunfire from the occupation’s soldiers next to the Qalandiya checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem, her being left to bleed to death, and Palestinian medical teams being prevented from providing first aid (PMW found no evidence supporting these allegations –Ed.) – which constitutes a blatant and deliberate transgression of all international and human norms and laws.

In a statement on behalf of the [PLO] Executive Committee, she pointed out that the series of executions is continuing and escalating, and of them 68% have occurred at the killing checkpoints, as from 2005 until now 65 people have been executed, including eight women and 26 children. She said: ‘This wild behavior reflects the criminal mentality and culture of hate that feeds the violence and the murder in cold blood outside the legal framework, and which strengthens the organized and escalating Israeli terror.’”

Ala’ Wahdan – Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab Israeli soldiers at the Qalandiya checkpoint, north of Jerusalem, on Sept. 18, 2019. The soldiers shot and killed Wahdan during the attempted attack.
