Jenin Deputy District Governor glorifies head of Muslim terror group at school named after him

Headline: “The Jenin Education Directorate launched the professional integration exhibition”

“The Jenin Education Directorate (i.e., branch of the PA Ministry of Education) launched the professional integration exhibition yesterday [April 25, 2019] at the Izz A-Din Al-Qassam High School for Boys (i.e., Izz A-Din Al-Qassam was the head of a terror group during the British Mandate period) in the village of Ya’abad.

Jenin Deputy District Governor Ahmed Al-Qassam, Head of the Jenin Education Directorate Tareq Alawneh, and school principal Tareq Alawneh (sic., Tareq Amarneh) were present at the ceremony.

Al-Qassam said: ‘We congratulate you on the launch of this professional exhibition, which comes as a result of a joint effort to realize this extraordinary study achievement.’ He also expressed appreciation for the fighting role of the village of Ya’abad Al-Qassam, in which the grandmother of Martyr Izz A-Din Al-Qassam lives, and he reviewed the history of the struggle and heroism of Martyr Al-Qassam, who sacrificed his soul for the defense of our Palestinian people’s rights.

Sheikh Izz A-Din Al-Qassam was an influential Islamic preacher in British Mandate Palestine during the 1930s. He led a Muslim terror group. The Hamas terror wing is named after him – the Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades.
