645,000 poor children in West Bank and Gaza

“The [Palestinian] Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the rate of poor children in the West Bank and Gaza Strip rose from 27% in 2011 to 31% in 2017, 14% in the West Bank and 53% in the Gaza Strip, as the number of poor children has reached 645,000 children. In addition, the rate of children suffering from extreme poverty rose to 17% in 2017, 5% in the West Bank and 34% in the Gaza Strip, as compared to 14% in 2011.”
