Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine [and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice] Mahmoud Al-Habbash warned against the consequences of the invasions of the Jerusalem Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount) by the Jewish settlers and settler gangs on the pretext of 'the Jewish holidays,' and especially during the approaching month of October.

He demanded that our people from everywhere who are able to come to the Al-Aqsa Mosque to increase the presence there throughout the day, in order to thwart the settler terror groups’ plans and to determinedly defend the mosque. He also emphasized that the Palestinian leadership is closely monitoring the events at the Jerusalem Noble Sanctuary after the occupation state's attempts to increase the tension and discontent in Jerusalem…

He added that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain a purely Islamic mosque, and that non-Muslims have no right to it, as is said in the Quran and as the international laws and UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) resolutions have confirmed."
