A pleasant and elegant knight
Who did not know what impossible is in the revolution
Whose enemy pursued him everywhere
And his enemy pursued him publicly and clandestinely…
And if he had not defeated their entity,
They would not have gone to such bother
…
And the enemy would not have caught up with him
If Allah had not wanted to put him together with the Martyrs
And his soul ascended to its Creator
After he left within us a path and legend of self-sacrifice
And of perseverance and determination
And an oath of obligation and loyalty
To continue the path of the struggle
Until victory
And until our flag waves in the sky
I give these words as a present to the soul of Martyr, commander, and symbol Abu Ali [Hassan] Salameh and all the Martyrs of Palestine; to them we swear allegiance.”
Ali Hassan Salameh - Palestinian terrorist and commander of operations in Europe of the Black September terror organization - a secret branch of Fatah - in the 1970s. He planned many terror attacks, including the attack on the Israeli team at the Munich Olympics on Sept. 5, 1972, in which 11 Israeli athletes were murdered. Salameh was killed by a car bomb in Beirut on Jan. 22, 1979. Israel is thought to be responsible for his death, but has not officially taken responsibility for it.
