PA PM: UNRWA “must be protected” until Palestinian refugees return to their homeland

"[PA] Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh said that the responsible and humanitarian international aid to the UNRWA agency (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) has provided the Palestinian refugees with their rights to education, medical care, and maintaining dignified lives given the lack of a just solution to their cause.

During his speech at the ministerial meeting to support UNRWA that Jordan and Sweden called for, in the presence of more than 25 states and international organizations, today, Thursday [Sept. 26, 2019], in the UN headquarters in New York, Shtayyeh added that UNRWA – which represents the collective memory of the Palestinian people's tragedy – must be protected until the return of these refugees to their homes and their homeland."
