PA official Abd Rabbo: Temple is "false"
Yasser Abd Rabbo, Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee, following Israel’s dedication of the rebuilt 300 year old Hurva synagogue in Jerusalem, that Jordan had destroyed in 1948:
"[Israel] entered the [Muslim] holy sites [in Jerusalem], in order to fulfill a legend and basing themselves on it [the legend], in order to build what is called the false Temple. They see the building of a new ['Hurva'] synagogue as a prelude to this."
