Official PA TV News, on PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ congratulatory letter to Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un on the anniversary of the establishment of the Workers’ Party of Korea

Official PA TV newsreader: “His Honor [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated Chairman of the Workers’ Party [of Korea], Chairman of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea [State] Affairs Commission, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces ‘Marshal’ Kim Jong-un on [the anniversary of] the establishment of the Workers’ Party of Korea. In his telegram, the president honored the important role of the fighting Workers’ Party of Korea, which is developing historic and fighting relationships with our people and has a long history of support for peoples’ struggles for liberation and independence, and first and foremost its support for our people’s legitimate struggle to end the occupation of our land and establish our independent state whose capital is East Jerusalem. The president emphasized that he is constantly striving to continue the activity and cooperation in order to strengthen the connections of friendship that exist between the two peoples and open prospects that will serve our shared goals.”
