PA foreign ministry condemns killing of terrorist leader by Israel

“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the arbitrary Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and Damascus, the capital of Syria, which has led to [the death of] a number of Martyrs and wounded, foremost among them Martyr Baha Abu Al-Ata (i.e., terror leader responsible for numerous attacks) and his wife…

In a statement published today (Tuesday) [Nov. 12, 2019], the ministry emphasized that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is used to exporting his internal crises to other arenas – foremost among them the Palestinian arena – and inflicting a heavy cost on our people’s blood and land in order to strengthen his position vis-à-vis his rivals in the Israeli arena…

The ministry held the Israeli transition government fully and directly responsible for this aggression and its results.”

Baha Abu Al-Ata – senior commander of the Islamic Jihad terror organization in Gaza who was responsible for most of the organization’s terror activity and planned numerous rocket, sniper, drone, and other attacks against Israel.Abu Al-Ata was assassinated in an Israeli targeted rocket strike on Nov. 12, 2019. In response to Israel’s assassination Palestinian Islamic Jihad fired over 450 rockets at Israel over a period of 48 hours until a ceasefire was reached on Nov. 14, 2019, which Islamic Jihad promptly breached by firing 5 more rockets.
