PA PM glorifies terrorist murderer as a “role model”

Headline: “Shtayyeh: The prisoners’ cause will remain our priority, and we will take it to all the international forums”

“[PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said: ‘The cause of the prisoners in the occupation’s prison will remain our priority and we will take it to all the international forums by order of [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas], with the efforts of the [PA] government and all of the dignitaries in the national arena.’

He said this yesterday [Nov. 24, 2019] during hisvisit to the family of prisoner Sami Abu Diak (i.e., terrorist who murdered one and died of cancer while serving 3 life sentences; see note below), who is suffering from a severe state of health …

Shtayyeh conveyed the blessings of President Mahmoud Abbas to prisoner Abu Diak’s family and the prisoners’ relatives, and said: ‘We are here today, not in order to express solidarity with Sami Abu Diak, but rather becausehe is our son and a son of the homeland. He is a role model and constitutes a matter of international public opinion.  We are talking about Sami and about all our prisoners in the occupation’s prison everywhere in the world that we go. We will remain loyal to them.’”

Sami Ahed Abu Diak - Palestinian terrorist who shot and murdered Israeli civilian Ilya Krivitz in Silat Al-Dhar northwest of Nablus on June 20, 2001, and also murdered 3 Palestinians in 2001 who he suspected of aiding Israel. Abu Diak was arrested in 2002, and was serving 3 life sentences and an additional 30 years. Abu Diak died in prison of cancer on Nov. 26, 2019; Israel had provided cancer treatment for him during his imprisonment.
