Terrorist Abu Jihad celebrated at march organized by Fatah: “The Prince of the Martyrs, the first bullet, the first stone, Martyr Abu Jihad”
March at Bil'in:
“In the village of Bil'in, the residents and those in solidarity with them, headed by senior Fatah and National Security Forces officials, organized a widely attended popular march. The march was initiated by Fatah and the Popular Committee to Resist Settlements and the Wall in the village, on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the Martyrdom death of the Martyr (Shahid) Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir)…
'In a speech [on behalf] of the family of the Prince of the Martyrs, Um Jihad [wife of Abu Jihad] conveyed a message of greetings and pride to the residents of Bil'in and the souls of the Martyrs, to the international solidarity activists, and to all the prisoners, male and female, headed by Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa'adat, and the other leaders.
Um Jihad said: 'We are meeting for the 22nd time to mark the anniversary of the Prince of the Martyrs, the first bullet, the first stone, Martyr Abu Jihad, the fighter, the man, and the symbol. We speak about him in order to remember the qualities and the virtues of the Prince of the Martyrs. Each year, we teach the young lions [children] of Palestine and the Fatah cadres and activists lessons about their leaders, and say that Fatah can rightfully take pride in its history, its struggle, its symbols and its leaders.'
Fatah Bureau Secretary in Bil'in Bassal Mansour gave a speech on behalf of Fatah’s Ramallah and El-Bireh branch, in which he said that even if the Zionist occupation has succeeded in taking from us the bodies of irreplaceable leaders and symbols, [we] must understand that through their Martyrdom, they showed us the way to freedom, breathing hope, desire and steadfastness into our souls, and gave us an incentive to devote ourselves to the homeland. They had initiative and devotion; they were believers and Jihad fighters… Here in Bil'in, the resistance will continue and the giving will continue, generation after generation."
Notes: Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks killing 125 Israelis. This included the most lethal in Israeli history, the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Marwan Barghouti - serving five life sentences for orchestrating terror attacks against Israeli civilians. When arrested in 2002, he headed the Tanzim (Fatah terror faction). After he was convicted and imprisoned, he was re-elected member of the Palestinian Authority parliament
Ahmad Sa’adat - serving a 30-year sentence for heading the PFLP terror organization. A song at a PFLP event also praised him for planning the assassination of Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavam Ze'evi in 2001, but he has not been tried for this crime.
