A Fatah Movement leadership delegation led by [Fatah] Revolutionary Council member [and Secretary of Fatah's Lebanon branch] Rifat Shanaah, Director of the [Fatah] Movement in the North Abu Jihad Fayyad, and a number of members of the movement visited the wing of most veteran prisoner in the Israeli prisons Yahya Skaf (Israel reported that he died in the 1978 attack; see note below –Ed.) at the Rachid Karami International Fair in Tripoli, where they were welcomed by the prisoner’s brother Jamal Skaf.
Shanaah wrote some words with which he saluted prisoner Yahya Skaf, who participated in the heroic Kamal Adwan operation (i.e., Coastal Road massacre) within occupied Palestine, as fighter Yahya Skaf illustrated the Lebanese-Palestinian resistance member’s unity of blood, and [Shanaah] also blessed [Skaf’s] brother Jamal and his friends for continuing his path…
Shanaah also signed a display of solidarity with prisoner Yahya Skaf.”

Yahya Skaf – terrorist from Lebanon who participated in the most lethal attack in Israel’s history, the hijacking of a bus led by Dalal Mughrabi in 1978 in which 37 civilians were murdered, 12 of them children. Israel maintains Skaf was killed during the attack and that his remains were transferred to Lebanon in the exchange deal with Hezbollah in July 2008, but the Lebanese authorities claim he is still imprisoned in Israel.

Coastal Road Massacre - In March 1978, a group of Fatah terrorists from Lebanon led by Dalal Mughrabi hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway. Confronted by the Israeli army, the terrorists murdered many of the passengers on the bus, in total 37 civilians,12 of them children, and wounded more than 70. The attack, orchestrated by arch-terrorist Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir), is known in Israel as the Coastal Road Massacre.
