Egyptian lecturer accuses Israelis of stealing Palestinian culture

Head of the Hebrew Department in the Faculty of Languages at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Dr. Mansour Abd Al-Wahab: "They [the Israelis] have begun to steal the Palestinian food culture and attribute it to themselves. They have begun to steal the dance culture – the Dabke, a Palestinian dance. They have begun to try to record it as an Israeli dance, or an ancient Jewish dance... They have tried to take the Palestinian clothing and attribute [to themselves] that it is ancient Jewish or Israeli clothing…. The only cultural element that exists is the Palestinian one… Therefore, [the Israelis] steal all of the elements of the Palestinian culture and try to attribute them to themselves."
