"PLO Executive Committee Secretary [and Fatah Central Committee member] Saeb Erekat said that the act of terror that took the lives of 49 Muslims (shooting attacks at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand on March 15, 2019, 50 murdered –Ed.) is the result of extremist ideology that is sowing the seeds of religious war…
Erekat continued: 'This is a crime against humanity, exactly like the crime committed by Israeli extremist settler Baruch Goldstein, who massacred 29 worshippers in the Ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of the Patriarchs Massacre; see note below –Ed.) in Hebron, Palestine, and like ISIS' crimes of terror against the Christians in Egypt, and the crime carried out by an American racist extremist who massacred 12 worshippers in a Jewish synagogue in Petersburg in the US.
He concluded his statement by saying that 'Racism and hatred are diseases that must be fought against and uprooted from every society. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are respectable monotheistic religions, and we must stop the killing and the crimes in the name of religion, and stop the exploitation of religion for political goals.'

Secretary-General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) and PLO Executive Committee member Ahmed Majdalani condemned the despicable crime of terror committed by an Australian extremist.
He said that the one that is feeling the scope of the terror, extremism, and despicable crimes of terror is the Palestinian people, against whom crimes of this type and organized state terror by the occupation state are being committed. Therefore, we call to fight terror and extremist ideas from any party, identify with the Martyrs' (Shahids') families, and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
Majdalani added that the attempt to spread extremist ideas and anarchy in the world, and the strengthening of the extremist right through political parties in several of the world's states, and primarily the occupation state, necessitates that the entire world act against this terror that currently constitutes a danger to many of the world's peoples…
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) condemned the fascist attack and despicable crime that was committed at the Al-Noor and Linwood Mosques in New Zealand and led to the death and wounding of more than 100 people. The Front described the crime as a criminal act of terror that exploits innocent blood in order to achieve its dubious goals.
The Front concluded by emphasizing that it condemns all types of terror, and directed the world's attention to the fact that our Palestinian people is the first victim of organized terror in the world, which is represented by Israel – the occupation, settlement, killing, and bloody violence state."
