USA & Israel behind Arab Spring, claims PLO official

"PLO Executive Committee member and Fatah Movement Central Committee member Azzam Al-Ahmad… met with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri in the presence of Fatah Central Committee member Samir Al-Rifai and Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Lebanon Ashraf Dabbour…

Al-Ahmad said after the meeting… that Al-Hariri expressed his appreciation for the courage of the young Palestinian Saber Murad who stood against the terror in Tripoli and endangered his life for his Lebanese brothers (Murad threw himself in the path of a terrorist's bullets on June 3, 2019 –Ed.)…

Al-Ahmad added: 'We visited Saber Murad and spoke with him, particularly since [PA] President [Mahmoud] Abbas is personally interested in knowing how he thinks. I say that the Palestinians innately oppose terror wherever it may be. The attempts to spread terror in the Arab region under the cover of the so-called Arab Spring have proven that it was an Israel-American arid summer meant to destroy and divide the Arab states.It is surprising that you would hear of Palestinians that participated in terror, as their culture is to fight and struggle for the freedom of our people and the recovery of our rights.'"

Azzam Al-Ahmad also holds the positions of Head of the PLO Department of Arab and Parliamentary Affairs, Fatah Commissioner of National Relations (i.e., between Hamas and Fatah), and Fatah Commissioner for Relations with Lebanon.
