PA spokesman: Cave of Patriarchs is sacred only to Islam

Headline: "Al-Damiri toured Hebron and met with the mosques' Imams"

"Official Spokesman of the [PA] Security Forces Adnan Al-Damiri praised the efforts of the residents of the Hebron district in general – and of Hebron in particular – and their institutions in defending the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) that is sacred as a purely Islamic mosque, their resolve, and their Ribat (i.e., religious conflict over land claimed to be Islamic) against the ongoing settlement aggression against the city, and also the role of the mosques' Imams in spreading the Islamic religion's principles of tolerance.

Al-Damiri said this during a visit he made yesterday [Jan. 1, 2020] to the Imams in the sacred Ibrahimi Mosque."

Adnan Al-Damiri also holds the position of General Political Commissioner of the PLO Political and National Guidance Authority.
