150 prisoners studying for university degrees in Israeli prison

“The Fatah Movement’s Jenin branch, [PLO] Commission of Prisoners' Affairs, the [PA-funded] Prisoners’ Club, and the Martyr Abu Jihad Center at Abu Dis University (i.e., named after terrorist responsible for the murder of 125)… held a graduation ceremony for 38 prisoners in the Israeli occupation prison yesterday, Monday [Jan. 20, 2020]…

Jenin District Deputy Governor Kamal Abu Al-Rub commended the prisoners’ resolve and their determination to study, as they defy the occupation’s policy and oppression, which has always attempted to cause ignorance among the prisoners by preventing their studies…

Director of Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs (sic., Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Manager in Jenin) Saif Abu Sayyaf said that 100 prisoners have completed their studies at Al-Quds Open University, 150 are continuing to study for a master’s and bachelor’s degree, four prisoners have completed their studies at An-Najah National University, and two prisoners at Kadoorie University.”

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) - was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks in the 1960’s - 1980’s. These attacks, in which a total of 125 Israelis were murdered, included the Coastal Road attack that (until Oct. 7, 2023) was the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and murder of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
