PLO party: Trump peace deal is “a threat to the Palestinian existence,” including in 1967 and 1948 territories, promotes “mobilizing all possible means of struggle”
Headline: “FIDA: The campaign is open to all possibilities, and the most important thing is our unity”
“The Palestinian Democratic Union FIDA (i.e., a political party and member of the PLO) emphasized that the campaign against the occupation is currently open to all possibilities following the declaration of what is called the deal of the century (i.e., refers to US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan, which he presented with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Jan. 28, 2020)…
FIDA emphasized that this deal, regardless of its circumstances and the explanations raised regarding the causes for its declaration, constitute a threat to the Palestinian existence in general – in the territories that were occupied in 1967, in the 1948 territories (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel), in the refugee concentrations, and in the diaspora – which necessitates giving priority to coming out against [the deal] and thwarting it, uprooting all of the international disagreements, and mobilizing all possible means of struggle for this purpose (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence and terror)."
The terms “all means,” “all means of resistance,” “all forms,” are used by PA leaders to include using all types of violence, including deadly terror against Israeli civilians such as stabbings and shootings, as well as throwing rocks and Molotov Cocktails.
