PA TV poem: “I am the Palestinian people… I have Haifa, and I have Jaffa, and my Al-Aqsa Mosque that is in captivity”
Official PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem, official PA TV host recites poem “I am the Palestinian People”
Official PA TV host: “I am the Palestinian people,
Israel harms me and America fights those who assist me,
And makes those who love me miserable,
And kills those who treat my wounds,
And exalts those who are hostile to me.
I am the Palestinian people who has been deprived of my homeland…
I am the people that is torn between the prison cells.
I am the wound that bleeds in your capitals,
I am the meat that is distributed at your tables…
I am the voice that echoes in your ears,
I am the living one that weighs on your consciences…
I am the Palestinian people: I have my own thinking, and I have my splendor,
And I have the history of our nation that is recorded at the [battle]fields:
Men who gave [themselves] like sacrifices as Martyrs (Shahids).
I have Haifa, and I have Jaffa, and my Al-Aqsa Mosque that is in captivity,
And I have Jerusalem and the land from the [Jordan] River to my [Mediterranean] Sea.”
