From terrorists to role models: The PA's institutionalization of incitement

This report was presented by PMW director Itamar Marcus to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 3, 2010 and to members of US Congress in Washington D.C. on May 6, 2010. In this report, Palestinian Media Watch documents the Palestinian Authority policy of glorifying terrorists through naming schools, streets, sporting events, summer camps, and ceremonies after terrorists. PMW chose 100 examples of places and events named after 46 different terrorists in order to show the scope of the phenomenon. This ongoing PA policy to glorify terror plays a significant role in defining the Palestinian world, and undermines the chances the peace.
