PA official calls on Muslims to save holy sites from “violations” and “invasions”

Headline: "Occupation forces and special units invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the El-Marwani Mosque, and the Dome of the Rock"

"A strengthened force of occupation officers and soldiers, special units, and senior officials of the occupation invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday [Jan. 17, 2019] from the direction of the Mughrabi Gate and raided the El-Marwani Mosque (i.e., Solomon’s Stables) and the Dome of the Rock…

[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs [Yusuf Ida'is] condemned this invasion and noted that 'The fact that these crimes continue from time to time with the blessings of the Israeli political echelon and in an open manner obligates the world to bear its responsibility and intervene in a serious manner to put an end to these violations.'

Ida'is again emphasized his call to the Arabs and Muslims to act to save Jerusalem, its Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, and said: 'We have warned and are still warning against the real dangers that surround the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, which requires the Arab and Islamic peoples and governments to place the cause of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque at the top of their priorities in order to defend it from these dangers.'"

Break-in/Invasion/attack of Al-Aqsa Mosque - The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
