PA Governor: "Coronavirus is not more difficult than the occupation"

Laila Ghannam: “I say this to [PA Chairman Mahmoud] Abbas too – giving is joy. And always – we lived through the first Intifada (i.e., Palestinian wave of violence and terror against Israel, approximately 200 Israelis murdered, 1987-1993), we lived through the second Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered), we lived through curfew, we lived through a stoppage of salaries-”

Host: “We need to live through the Coronavirus.”

Laila Ghannam: “In other words, we need- The Coronavirus has been with us just two days… As we were strong in all circumstances- Coronavirus is not more difficult than the occupation, not more difficult than the siege.”

Host: “There is nothing that is really more difficult than the occupation.”

Laila Ghannam: “We will definitely live in these circumstances, [as we are] a people of heroes.”
