Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor Laila Ghannam: “I will take this opportunity, as we are in March, ‘March of the women,’ which Allah willing will not be just slogans. We always sing the praises of the women – the Palestinian women fighters, rebels, Martyrs’ mothers, and sisters of the Martyrs, prisoners, and wounded. Likewise, they are also ‘the ones who take action.’ They are the Martyrs and they are the prisoners. My blessings are extended from this forum to our beloved female prisoners. We wish them health soon – to them and to the male prisoners. Allah willing, they will not only be slogans. These women will be the female fighters and rebels, they deserve to be at the front of the activity and the front of the decision making… There is research according to which Palestine is ‘the good land,’ where no one dies of starvation.”
