PA Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh:

"In the name of All Merciful Allah

An order issued by His Honor [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas for 2020 on the declaration of a state of emergency

President of the State of Palestine

Chairman of the PLO Executive Committee

We henceforth declare a state of emergency in all of the Palestinian territories in order to deal with the danger of the Coronavirus and prevent its spread.

1. The bodies of authority will receive the authority to carry out all of the necessary measures in order to deal with the dangers coming as a result of the Coronavirus and to protect the health of the public and achieve security and stability.
2. This state of emergency will last for 30 days.
