Fatah official accuses Israel of trying to "thwart the Palestinian government’s efforts to fight the Coronavirus”

Headline: “The occupation is striving to thwart the Palestinian [PA] government’s efforts to fight the Coronavirus”

“Director of Unionization and Labor Unions in the Fatah Movement’s Management Council in the Gaza Strip Jamal Obeid accused the occupation government of an attempt to thwart the Palestinian [PA] government’s plans to limit the Coronavirus and prevent its spread in the Palestinian territories by not taking any serious steps regarding the Palestinian laborers’ movement within the Green Line (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel; the Green Line is the ceasefire line between Israel and the neighboring Arab countries, 1949-1967)…

Obeid also wondered about the occupation government’s goals behind the arrest of [PA] Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Fadi Al-Hadmi yesterday [April 3, 2020] (Al-Hadmi was arrested for violating the Israeli ban on PA political activity in Jerusalem –Ed.), and the Jerusalem district governor before him, and also the arrest of the public emergency committees and the Fatah Movement leaders and members who disinfected streets and institutions in Jerusalem (sic., apparently refers to 10 Palestinians arrested by Israeli police “on suspicion of illegal activity” including graffiti).”

Green Line - 1949-1967 ceasefire line between Israel and the neighboring Arab countries (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria) following Israel's War of Independence (1948-1949). Land within the Green Line is all part of the State of Israel since 1949. Land outside the Green Line includes East Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the Golan Heights.
