Fatah calls on residents to destroy CCTV cameras so Israeli security forces can't use them to catch terrorists

Video and text posted on the official Fatah Facebook page

Posted text: “The Fatah Movement in the city of Salfit calls on the residents and store owners via the loudspeakers in the mosques to remove the surveillance cameras or to not direct them at the streets.”

Visual: The video shows Salfit at night as a message is played over mosque loudspeakers.

Message over loudspeakers: “We call on you to remove the cameras pointed at the main and side streets so that the occupation will not be able to exploit them against the members of our people. Everyone knows the dangers of this. What has happened in recent days (apparently refers to Israeli security forces using security camera footage to track down terrorist Omar Abu Laila after he murdered 2; see note below –Ed.) is the greatest evidence of the occupation’s effort to benefit from these cameras. The occupation is exploiting these cameras for its personal interests.”
