PA daily attacks Trump envoy over his tweet about Fatah refusing opportunities for coexistence

Headline: “Greenblatt – a stupid tweet and an admission of helplessness”

“US President [Donald Trump’s] Envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt tweeted last week [June 18, 2019] and accused the Fatah Movement of destroying ‘the deal of the century’ (sic., Greenblatt’s tweet did not reference ‘the deal of the century’ – Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan). The truth is that this is a stupid tweet, but it reveals the American administration’s inability to implement its rotten deal. Just as [the tweet] is stupid… it also arouses pity and a chuckle at the same time…

We will not argue with Greenblatt over the issue, and will not push away this accusation that arouses honor. We will tell him: Of course Fatah destroyed ‘the deal of the century,’ in the sense that it blocked it.”

The article refers to a tweet (see screenshot right, original source has since been deleted) by US Envoy Jason Greenblatt in which he linked to an article about the PA punishing the Deir Qaddis Village Council head after Jews attended his son’s wedding. Greenblatt tweeted: “Fatah spoils another opportunity for co-existence & what could/should be the norm. Peace can't be built on current foundation maintained by Fatah. In order to achieve peace, many issues must be addressed, including this. Co-existence should be encouraged.”
