Headline: “Tubasi gives two letters from [PA] President Abbas to the president and prime minister of Greece”

“Ambassador of Palestine in Greece Marwan Tubasi gave two letters from [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas to President of Greece [Prokopis Pavlopoulos] and [Greek] Prime Minister [Kyriakos Mitsotakis].

The president emphasized in his letters that Israeli Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu’s statement two days ago [Sept. 10, 2019] on his decision to annex the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and all of the settlements comes as part of the implementation of an agenda of ethnic cleansing if he wins the elections. It constitutes a dangerous violation of international law, the destruction of the chances for peace, and a complete violation of all of the agreements that have been signed. In the letters it was written: ‘If Netanyahu implements this threat, it will be our absolute right and responsibility to take all of the necessary steps to prevent this dangerous action and the ongoing aggression regardless of the consequences, for which the government of Israel will bear [responsibility].’”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements about annexing the West Bank or part of it: While visiting Elkana, in the West Bank, on Sept. 1, 2019, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "There will be no more uprooting [of Jewish settlements]. With God’s help we will apply Jewish sovereignty over all communities as part of the land of Israel and the State of Israel.” While visiting Beit El, north of Jerusalem in the West Bank, on Aug. 8, 2019, Netanyahu also said: “Our mission is to establish the Jewish people in its land and to ensure our sovereignty in our historical homeland.” On Sept. 10, 2019, Netanyahu explained that he had “planned to declare immediate sovereignty over the Jordan Valley but was warned by the attorney general that he did not have the authority to do so unless or until he formed a new government after elections. “ [Times of Israel, Sept. 11. 2019]
