PA plants trees for terrorists at a school to teach kids about “heroic prisoners”

Trees for terrorists have been planted by the PA in a school in order to teach Palestinian girls about the “heroic prisoners.” The PA Ministry of Education and Fatah inaugurated a garden at the Zibda School for Girls southeast of Jenin, honoring 13 Israeli Arab terrorist prisoners.

Among the “heroic” terrorists are two murderers – the cousins Karim and Maher Younes who kidnapped and murdered Israeli soldier Avraham Bromberg in 1980. Their pictures were displayed next to the olive tree saplings planted to glorify them:

Interviewed at the event, Director-General of the PA Ministry of Education's Directorate of Education in Jenin, Salam Al-Taher, explained the importance of teaching Palestinian children about “freedom” and “our heroic prisoners”:

Director-General of the PA Ministry of Education's Directorate of Education in Jenin, Salam Al-Taher: “The prisoners are the symbol of freedom, and we always teach our children freedom. How will they learn the meaning of freedom if we don't speak about the prisoners who are in the occupation’s prisons? We won’t rest or be silent as a Palestinian people until the occupation’s prisons are emptied of our heroic prisoners.”

These trees for terrorists follow another PA initiative exposed by Palestinian Media Watch in which the PA is planting 35,000 trees to honor the Palestinian “Martyrs” – among them numerous terrorists and murderers, including suicide bombers – all referred to by the PA as “the most sacred thing we have.”

Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub: “We are honoring the Martyrs of the Palestinian cause from 1917 until now. These Martyrs are the most sacred thing we have.”

The girls studying at the specific school in Jenin are also taught to venerate yet a third murderer. A photo of Mahmoud Jabarin, an Israeli Arab terrorist who murdered Palestinian Ahmed Ja'aroura, whom he suspected of collaborating with Israel, in October 1988, was displayed on the school's wall during the inauguration event.

They were originally sentenced to life in prison, but Israeli President Shimon Peres reduced their sentence in 2012 to 40 years. In May 2017, Karim Younes was appointed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to the Fatah Central Committee.

Jabarin served a 30-year prison sentence and was released in October 2018. In January 2021, the PA launched a tree planting initiative named Alive and Provided For to honor all Palestinians who died as so-called “Martyrs” since 1917, planting one tree for each “Martyr.” The PA defines "Martyrs" to include all Palestinian terrorists and murderers killed during their terror attacks, including every Palestinian suicide bomber. The PA also includes all Palestinian arch-terrorists such as Abu Jihad who planned the murder of at least 125 Israelis; Salah Khalaf who headed the Black September terror org and planned the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre of Israeli athletes; and mass murderers like Dalal Mughrabi who led the most lethal attack against Israel in which 37 were murdered, among them 12 children. The name Alive and Provided For is a paraphrase of Quran 3:169: “And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, and provided for.”
