Official PA TV host 1: “Our question for you today is: Give me an answer about a figure whose Martyrdom-death anniversary is marked today… an influential Palestinian figure.”

Gazan resident Khalil: “Maybe Khalil Al-Wazir [Abu Jihad].”

Official PA TV host: “Correct answer… If you would like to give us a bit of information”  …

Khalil: “He was one of the people who gave for the sake of the revolution.
 He was of course assassinated in Tunis by the Israeli Mossad. He was assassinated in the period of the first Intifada, in 1988.”

Host: “Correct, in 1988.”

Host 2: “Do you know what Khalil Al-Wazir was called? What was his nickname?

Khalil: “Abu Jihad, of course.”

Host 2: “Abu Jihad, but he had a nickname “the Prince of Martyrs.”

Khalil: “The Engineer of the Revolution”  …

Host 1: “Congratulations, your prize is $100, which is being given-”

Host 2: “By the Bank of Palestine. The first national bank.”

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) - was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks in the 1960’s - 1980’s. These attacks, in which a total of 125 Israelis were murdered, included the Coastal Road attack that (until Oct. 7, 2023) was the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and murder of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
