PA Town Square honors Saddam Hussein with town square memorial

The monument in the square of the West Bank town of Beit Rima shows pictures of Yasser Arafat and former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. Above the picture of Saddam Hussein is an inscription that reads:      
     "Long live the nation, long live Palestine.”
Under the photograph:
     “The Shahid (Martyr) leader, Saddam Hussein.”

Note: Saddam Hussein, the former President of Iraq, was executed for ordering the Dujail massacre in Iraq in which 148 people were killed. In order to expedite his execution, it was decided not to prosecute him for other crimes he committed.
