In a statement on behalf of the Information and Culture Commission, Asaf added: ‘Through this operation, Hamas seeks to disseminate anarchy, to threaten stability in the West Bank, and to continue with the Hamas agenda of takeover, which it commenced in the Gaza Strip.’ He emphasized that the Hamas operation in Hebron contradicts Palestinian national interests, the aims of the Palestinian people, and its struggle for freedom and independence.”
