Israeli army supervised "the murder of children and innocents with joy and glee"
“Deputy Secretary General and head of the Palestine branch of the Arab League, Ambassador Muhammad Sabih, said that the Sabra and Shatila massacre is living proof of the scope of Israeli crime… He emphasized that what Israel carried out in 1982, under the leadership of Ariel Sharon, was a despicable massacre. He stated that Sharon and a number of commanders in the Israeli army had overseen the murder of children and innocents with joy and glee, although the victims had committed no crime other than being Palestinians. He emphasized that ‘this massacre is a basic part of the fundamentalist and terrorist thinking of certain leaders in Israel.’… The permanent Palestinian representative at the Arab League and Ambassador of Palestine to Egypt, Barakat Al-Fara… said: ‘The Sabra and Shatila massacre is part of a black Israeli series [of crimes], filled with destruction, blood, and the intimidation of defenseless civilians.”
