Song of violence and death repeats on PA TV

PA TV has rebroadcast a song and dance glorifying violence and death. The song first appeared in June, and has since been rebroadcast six times, including its latest reappearance on Sept. 21.

The segment first appeared as part of the PLO's Third Palestinian Culture and Education Festival held in Ramallah. It included dancers holding rifles while singing: "My weapon has emerged...There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand," and, "He who offers his blood doesn't care if his blood flows upon the ground."

Since then, PA TV has chosen to rebroadcast it six more times: June 24, July 9, July 13, July 16, July 20 and again last week. The Sept. 21st broadcast also included an interview with the writer of the song.
