PA Mufti encourages killing "settler woman... insulting Islam" and says "Zionist" aim to "destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque"
PA Mufti of Jerusalem, Ikrima Sabri:
Sabri: “The Zionists have one single aim, in all the older and newer excavations, and that is to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to establish Solomon’s Temple on its ruins…”
Question: “Could there be a division of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as has been done in the Cave of the Patriarchs?”
Sabri: “The Zionists are trying to do it, but we are determined to prevent this and to defend Al-Aqsa, whatever the price. In the past we have sacrificed lives in the Al-Aqsa plaza, and we are prepared to sacrifice more lives to prevent the Jews from [carrying out] these hostile and racists attempts…”
Question: “Sheikh Al-Azhar issued a religious ruling permitting the killing of the settler woman who disseminated posters insulting Islam. Do you foresee this ruling being carried out?”
Sabri: “Anyone who wishes to carry it out need not consult either myself or Sheikh Al-Azhar. The matter requires no religious ruling.”
